Hello! My name is Carlo Alberto, but everybody’s calling me Carlo, which is fine by me. Well, many call me Carlos because they believe I’m Spanish. There isn’t any “s” in Carlo because I’m Italian. I love trekking and I love the mountains. I do love many other sports, but maybe it is due to my family name, Montagna, which means mountain in Italian, that the mountain has a special attraction on me. And Kilimanjaro is “The Mountain”, so why not get up there! And why not get up to help those Children in need and all those fantastic people of SOS Village d’Enfants? Together with my wife Francine, who, guess what?, is a crazy mountaineer, it will be even better!

I believe that when someone has had the chance to explore and to taste the World, to have met different people, to have tried various experiences, when that someone is living the comfortable life that almost everyone can enjoy in the developed countries, then it is time to help the one in need! It is time to act, to be involved and to involve the others in doing the right thing for the right cause. That's why we are up to the Kilimanjaro challenge and we will help the development the SOS Village and School in Arusha, Tanzania.
